A total of 56 projects will receive a slice of the $2.1 million rolled out in the first-ever Detroit Knight Arts Challenge.
The Challenge is a program of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, which provides funding to the best, innovative ideas focused on the arts in strengthening Detroit's art scene. Winners were announced Saturday from more than 1,400 entries.
