The Salisbury Community Foundation is currently accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for its 2009 grants program.

The Salisbury Community Foundation is dedicated to inspiring philanthropy in the Salisbury/Rowan County area.

The Salisbury Community Foundation assists individuals and families address their philanthropic needs through charitable giving services; helps local nonprofits secure their future through endowments and establishment of charitable giving programs; and addresses a broad range of changing local needs through a grant-making program.

As an affiliate of Charlotte-based Foundation for the Carolinas, the Salisbury Community Foundation is dedicated to increasing charitable giving and strengthening the community.

75 SE Michigan Nonprofits to Participate in ‘Community Foundation Challenge’

The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, in partnership with the Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan, announced today the list of 75 arts and culture nonprofit organizations in southeast Michigan participating in the online giving program Community Foundation Challenge Arts & Culture on Aug. 18.

The program, which was announced on July 16, is an online giving challenge designed to generate $3 million in sorely needed operating funds for arts and cultural organizations in southeast Michigan.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks accepting applications for 2009-10 Endowment Building Grants

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is now accepting proposals from our Agency Partners for the annual targeted Endowment Building Grant Program. This year, grants awarded through this program must be used for specific plans to promote planned giving and legacy societies on behalf of the applying organization. CFO will award 10 grants of $1,500 each through this program.

McConnell Fund to give new grants – Red Bluff Daily News Online

The Shasta Regional Community Foundation has announced new funding cycles for the Tehama County Grantmaking Program of The McConnell Fund at the Community Foundation.

This will be the third funding cycle for The McConnell Fund Grantmaking Program in Tehama County. These grants support programs and organizations in Tehama County for building and equipment related projects.

The Community Foundation, through The McConnell Fund, has awarded over $272,000 to nonprofit organizations in Tehama County. These grants have been used for projects in arts, culture, human service, youth development, health, environment and more.

Point Pleasant (WV) Register – Community Foundation grant deadline set for September

The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) and the Regional Affiliate Foundations of Doddridge, Ritchie, Jackson, Mason Counties and the Little Kanawha Area (Wirt/Calhoun) is currently accepting applications for grants for the fall cycle of its Community Action Grant Program.

Applications must be postmarked by Sept. To be eligible for a grant from the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, either the applicant or program to be funded must be located in the Foundation's 11 county geographic service area Wood, Wirt, Doddridge, Ritchie, Pleasants, Roane, Calhoun, Gilmer, Jackson and Mason counties in West Virginia and Washington County, Ohio.

WealthSpring Fund seeking grant applications

The statewide WealthSpring Fund, affiliated with the Nebraska Community Foundation, is seeking grant applications from nonprofit organizations doing work that aligns closely with its mission to increase Nebraska womens economic self-sufficiency.

The WealthSpring Fund collaborates with local organizations and supports projects and programs that help women with entrepreneurship training, banking skills, budget and financial management, financial literacy, education and training needed for employment or advancement, and work-related child care needs.

Nonprofit organizations that provide these types of services to women in their communities are encouraged to apply for up to $3,000 each.

Rochester Area Community Foundation issues $100000 challenge grant

The number of residents lacking the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter has risen to crisis levels in Rochester in the recession, say representatives with area nonprofits.

The Rochester Area Community Foundation hopes to spur more local funding for these emergency services through a $100,000 challenge grant offered through the United Way of Greater Rochester's 2009 campaign.

The foundation will match dollar for dollar every new or increased individual donation earmarked for the United Way's "Supporting People in Crisis" impact area.
