Grant Purpose - This grant will continue to support the Illinois Center for Violence Prevention in its coordination of the Illinois Statewide Afterschool Network, which has been developing a public/private network of stakeholders to build a statewide afterschool system. This grantee is part of the first cohort of Mott-funded statewide afterschool networks. This renewal is an achievement grant, which continues to provide core support to the network, while also encouraging new ideas designed to align and integrate afterschool and education systems. Each network receiving an achievement grant is expected to share lessons learned and products with the national network of statewide afterschool networks.
