The Foundation for Community Partnerships in Centreville recently received more than $192,000 in grants to create the Partnering for Youth Cardio-Fit Project from AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation program, Connections for Cardiovascular Health.
The grant focuses on screening initiatives as well as innovative education programs aimed at preventing cardiovascular disease to develop healthy eating habits and physically active lifestyles among youth and the community.
