The Rhode Island Foundation announced the first winners of its Innovation Fellowships, funded by philanthropists John and Letitia Carter, providing entrepreneurs with $300,000 for three years to develop, test and implement innovative ideas that can improve Rhode Island life.
The winners are Soren Ryherd who has proposed a series of online businesses that would evolve into retail stores and Allan Tear who wants to create nothing less than a start-up revolution.
