Grants from Minneapolis Awarded for Artist-Led Community Healing And Well-Being

Foundation: Kresge Foundation

The City of Minneapolis Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy has approved funding for 15 artists-led teams to support projects that offer creative healing and support for Minneapolis communities that have been directly affected and affected by the trauma and stress of the past year.
The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy mobilizes one-time City dollars in 2021. This money is used to fund the new Cultural Districts and to repurpose resources from Kresge Foundation.

These grants will continue to mobilize the unique and specialized talents of artists and designers to address community needs. They also aim to engage with and increase the impact of community healing. The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy used resources from the Kresge Foundation in 2020 to support the work of local artists and developers on community healing projects.

The Creative Response Fund is a program of The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy at the City of Minneapolis.

The City of Minneapolis Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy provides funding, manages the artist selection process, and provides support for projects.
