Head And Heart Philanthropy And Surdan Foundation Launch Platform Designed To Help ...

"We understand the power of capital - in all its forms - as a tool for closing the racial wealth gap," says Mekaelia Davis, director of Surdna Foundation's Inclusive Economies Program.
That's the message behind Mosaic Genius Exchange, a new membership-only platform that connects black and brown entrepreneurs with investors who are "committed to closing the wealth gap," Christal Jackson, founder of Mosaic Genius, says in a press release.
Members receive monthly newsletters, access to private events with investors and other business owners, and a chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges.
The platform is the work of Head and Heart Philanthropy and the Surdna Foundation.
“Building social capital and strong networks through the Mosaic Genius Exchange is an important part of the toolkit for change.”Green, a program officer, noted in the press release that “the best solutions come from within the communities most impacted by inequity.”As part of the platform and in partnership with Black Ambition, a special Entrepreneurship Prize Competition, Vineyard Prize Competition, was held earlier this summer.
