Many contributed to success of Discovering Historic Auburn

To the editor:

The 2018 Discovering Historic Auburn event was a perfect example of this community’s pride, tenacity and collaborative spirit.

Due to the downtown construction projects and overwhelming time constraints from event planners, the day was at risk of not happening in 2018. I want to thank volunteers from the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, Auburn Main Street, Community Foundation DeKalb County, Downtown Auburn Business Association, DeKalb County Outdoor Theatre, DeKalb Chamber Partnership, Eckhart Public Library and the United Way of DeKalb County, for making this event just one more priority on their already busy schedules!

With event sponsors of DeKalb Health, KPC Media, and Michelle Glenn Photography, we were able to share the event and invite others from all over Northeast Indiana to Discover Auburn! We had event supporters in the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, the Bowen Center, DeKalb County Airport Authority, and Therma-Tru, along with over 50 different community organizations on hand to make the day a great way to connect with the wonderful things happening right here in our hometown.

This all would not have been possible without the continued amazing support of the City of Auburn!
