The Los Altos-based 100 Women Charitable Foundation awarded financial grants, three grants of $40,000 and three grants of $7,500, totaling $142,500 to six Bay Area nonprofit groups assisting those in need in the community.
The foundation started with 100 women willing to donate $100 each and has grown to include a membership base of 480 women who donated $142,500 last year.
