The Aspen Community Foundation has awarded five of its scholarship grants to 31 students. The grant in the total amount of$61,500 will be distributed the following: Aspen received two scholarships with a total of $4,000; Basalt with six scholarships amounting to $11,500; Roaring Fork received one scholarship in the amount of $1,500; and Glenwood with six scholarships with a total of $10,500.
Sixteen scholarships totaling $34,000 were awarded to students currently attending college. Since 2000, the Aspen Community Foundation has awarded nearly $400,000 in scholarships to 142 students.
