The BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation has awarded $2.6 million in grants to health care-related organizations addressing childhood obesity, the lack of dental services for low-income residents and the need for nurse practitioners in rural areas.
Grant recipients include: Williamsburg County School District: Project HOPE, Classy Smiles of Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties and Healthy Learners of Allendale, Dillon, Georgetown, Greenwood, Lexington and Richland counties.
