Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Heng Swee Keat, called on businesses to invest in their future through innovation to be able to stay relevant and competitive in helping people and communities.
According to Heng, "Companies need to make the effort to understand new developments in technology in their fields, consider how these can be adopted and integrated into existing business processes, and create new value."
Heng also places importance on empowering workers and investment in communities because everyone plays a part in building a caring and giving society.
The deputy prime minister made his speech at the Stewardship Asia Roundtable 2019, organised by Stewardship Asia Centre in conjunction with Temasek's Ecosperity Week.
