Afterschool Alliance Grant

Organization - Afterschool Alliance
Grant Amount - $1,000,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - This renewal grant to the Afterschool Alliance will continue to support its efforts to be the national voice for the afterschool field, and the main organizing body for the afterschool movement. Its vision is that all children and youth -- particularly those in underserved populations -- will have access to quality, affordable afterschool programs. The Afterschool Alliance is working to effect policy change to make afterschool a national priority, and plans to accomplish that through the following goals: 1) serving as an information source on afterschool programs and resources; 2) being an effective voice for afterschool in efforts to expand quality afterschool programs; 3) encouraging the development of local, state, and national afterschool constituencies and systems; and 4) communicating the impact of afterschool programs on children, families, and communities.
