Grant Purpose - The project goal is to enhance public participation in decisionmaking processes by improving accountability and transparency of public service administration at local levels in Kosovo. The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network Kosovo will create a network of reporters who will monitor and report on activities in the judicial, health, and education services across Kosovo. Project activities will include recruiting and training reporters in Kosovo's seven main regions; establishing relationships with local authorities to allow access to courts, healthcare facilities, and schools; and preparing in-depth investigative reporting pieces to be part of the grantee's popular television talk program called "Life in Kosovo". The grantee is a registered, nongovernmental organization in Kosovo and part of a Balkan network of similar organizations in six countries (each with the same name).
