Edward K Roberts Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County awarded seven community colleges with $50,000 each which can be used for tuition, board, books, child care, whichever will help keep the student in school.
Robin Lankton, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County said that Edward K Roberts established a trust designed to distribute funds to underfunded community colleges in Florida, to the needs of single mothers, and to new and emerging charitable needs.
