The University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine has announced its annual list of recipients of its Bridging Bioethics Research & Policymaking Grants.
This year's recipients include a team from the university's Center for Health Law, Ethics, and Human Rights who are investigating the role of race and gender in the decision-making process regarding assisted suicide, the AP reports.
The center's director says the grants are intended to help researchers "make a real difference in the lives of people who are dying."
