The Colorado Legacy Foundation received a grant of $10.5 million to increase the diversity of students taking Advanced Placement tests at 30 Colorado schools.
The grant was initiated from the National Math and Science Initiative, a federal program which is redistributing funds the Investing in Innovation (i3) grant.
The foundation is required to match the federal grant and hopes to accomplish the $3.5 million match over a five year period.
