The Austin Fire Foundation announced the receipt of its first major gift after H-E-B put $25,000 into the nonprofit organization's coffers.
The foundation was launched one year ago as a designated fund of the Austin Community Foundation with only 1 percent of donations to AFF will go for the financial reporting services, which means the other 99 percent will go directly to community outreach and public education initiatives.
