UNDP Sri Lanka launches two programs calling young innovators to act on climate change

The UN's development program in Sri Lanka is calling on the country's young people to take action on climate change, the New York Times reports.

According to a press release, theHackaDev Green Innovation Challenge and the Climate4Climate program are designed to give young people "the tools and skills needed to become effective climate advocates and leaders."

"Our youth have also become champions in the commonwealth, and we celebrate their achievements in Sri Lanka," the country's secretary of sports and youth affairs says.

"I hope this partnership with the UN will bring about positive results for the youth in the country with equal representation, leaving no youth behind as we strive to create a better future for all."
