As the eye of Hurricane Ian bears down on the Florida Keys, a group of seniors in Key Biscayne has taken matters into their own hands.
The Key Biscayne Community Foundation has set up a mobile command center in the parking lot of their senior center, reports the Miami Herald.
The center will serve as a place to stay during the storm, as well as offer information and assistance to those in its path.
"We are so lucky and grateful to live in a community that cares through its community foundation," says a member of the Key Biscayne seniors.
