The NBA star donated $40,000 to help Josephine Wright fend off a developer who wants to build a 147-unit apartment complex on her 1.8-acre property on Hilton Head Island, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Wright's family inherited the land from her late husband in 2012, and she's been fighting the Developer Bailey Point Investment Group in court ever since, telling the Daily Mail she's been subjected to trash, tires being cut, and even a snake being hung from her window.

As of Wednesday morning, the page had raised more than $248,000.
