That's why New York University's Urban Future Lab has added a new category to its annual competition for entrepreneurs: climate change startups.
The winners of the 2023 Future Vision Prize and Climate Finance Prize, each receiving $50,000, will be admitted to an incubator at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, reports Phys.org.
Carbon Collective won the Climate Finance Prize for its plan to "democratize carbon" through investments in clean companies, while Cadence OneFive won the Future Vision Prize for its plan to "democratize building science expertise and construction management best practices," per a press release.
