Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and Sundance Institute Announce Recipients of Science-In-Film ...

Love Me, a post-human love story starring Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun, has won the top prize at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The film, from director Sam Zuchero and screenwriting partner Andy Zuchero, tells the story of a woman who falls in love with a man in a post-human world.

"We are delighted to honor Sam and Andy Zuchero's Love Me, an original and wildly imaginative film about the nature of human identity and our connection to each other in a post-human world mediated through artificial intelligence," says Doron Weber, vice president and program director at the Alfred P.

Sloan Foundation, per a press release.

The rest of this year's winners were awarded $84,000 in cash awards, including writer Emily Everhard with the Sloan Episodic Fellowship for Tektite, Sara Crow and David Rafailedes with the Sloan Development Fellowship for Satoshi, and Lizzi Oyebode with the Sloan Commissioning Grant for Inverses.
