If you're a sixth-grader in New Mexico and you think you've got what it takes to be a world-class artist, the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum may have just the summer program for you.
The museum is now accepting applications for its annual Art and Leadership Program, which aims to empower young people in the fields of art, science, technology, engineering, and math, the Albuquerque Journal reports.
The program runs from June to September for rising sixth-graders in Santa Fe and its environs.
Over the course of three weeks, participants work on their artistic skills and develop self-esteem, says the museum's school tour programs manager.
"Over three summers, participants engage in two-week sessions that not only hone their artistic skills but also build self-esteem and self-respect," she says.
The program is open to any sixth-grader in the state, and applications are accepted until May 1.
