The Porter County Community Foundation has awarded $232,184 in grants to 33 Northwest Indiana nonprofit organizations.
Among the recipients: 4th Street Theater, $4,000 to support an upstairs HVAC unit; Beverly Shores Museum and Art Gallery, $1,700 to support "Learning the Land: Stewarding Beauty," an art exhibition; Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana, $9,750 to support " STEM equipment"; Center of Workforce Innovations, $3,780 to support Porter County Construction and Skilled Trades DayDunes Learning Center, $5, to support community awareness efforts; and Indiana Cancer Kids Foundation, $6,000 to support " upgrading their loaner boats."
