Baker began his career with the Redwood City School District more than 30 years ago as a kindergarten teacher at Garfield School and has served in a wide variety of roles within the district, including principal, director of magnet schools (Schools of Choice), assistant superintendent of human resources and most recently deputy superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
