It is the mission of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation to aconnect people who care with the causes that matter to enrich the quality of life in the Marshfield area.a

The sixth annual award is given to Dan Umhoefer in recognition for his work with the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield Wood County Arboretum and Woodlands Preservation, Marshfield Area Friends of the Trails, and his work with Marshfield Parks and Recreation Department at Weber Park.

Dan Umhoefer was nominated by Dean Patricia Stuhr and Assistant Dean Michelle Boernke of UW-Marshfield Wood County, and Ed Englehart, the former director of Parks and Recreation for the city of Marshfield.
