Cedar City Arts Council announces Artist Mini-Grants

The Cedar City Arts Council recently announced its Artistsa Mini-Grants Awards for the spring, 2015, term:
a Patricia Hill, chemist and jewelry maker, received the Presidentas Discretionary Award of $1,000 to fund a series of workshops in which she will teach the application of chemistry to various metals in the creation of jewelry.
Other grant recipients received between $200 and $500 for this cycle to help them with their art projects:
a Arthur Blessing, who specializes in photographing old buildings in Southern Utah, also was awarded a his award will be used to update his photography equipment, according to a news release.
a Brian Hoover, painter, has an exhibition upcoming in a gallery in Oregon.
