Video: TMMMS Provides Grant To Middle School For Two Programs

“We Are P Ville” is an after school tutoring program using volunteers from the community.

“Masterpiece Fridays” is a pilot program that teaches eighth graders about life and career skills.

Assistant Principal Lindsay Brett came up with Masterpiece Fridays.

“We teach them how to garden, we teach them how to build, how to use mathematical skills and angles, to build things, therefore, when they are older they are not dependent on someone else , they can do things for themselves, and they go into an interview with skills, we also teach them how to interview,” Brett said.

Other community wide activities are planned throughout the year to raise money to help fund the programs.
