High school teacher Aaron Sonnichsen, received the grant to aid a genetics research project.

“The grant has provided additional science equipment and connection to outside research so that students receive an even higher level of inquiry in their science work,” Principal Kevin Lusk said.

Another grant benefit is working with science teaches on a national level.

The award includes funds for Sonnichsen and other grant recipients to attend two national conferences, where they share their ideas with peers and discuss nationally-conducted research.

Any comment violating the site’s commenting guidelines will be removed and the user could be banned from the site.
