Paralympic ski camp at Lake Tahoe hosts 18 athletes for free (w/ video)

Two local nonprofits, High Fives Foundation and Achieve Tahoe, hosted a 3-day race camp at for some of the area’s rising stars in adaptive skiing from March 8-10 at Alpine Meadows.

Roy Tuscany, executive director of the High Fives Foundation, started the Foundation in 2009 after recovering from his own ski injury in the 2006.

When Hannah Davis   traveled to China to teach English, she noticed how Chinese workers and farmers were often sporting olive green army-style shoes. Those shoes served as her inspiration to create her own social enterprise, Bangs Shoes.
