Honoring women in leadership: Sherry Stark
The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Leadership Lunch will be led by honorary chairwoman Sherry Stark, who will share her own leadership insights during the May 4 event.

Stark has held key professional roles in Columbus, including executive director of the Centra Foundation, president and chief executive officer for Heritage Fund the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County and senior deputy mayor and executive director for community development for the city of Columbus for a decade. She serves on civic boards for Columbus Regional Hospital, the Arts District Coalition, The Commons and Foundation for Youth and Community Education Coalition, among others.

Q: Your resume is filled with leadership positions, from serving as president and CEO of The Heritage Fund the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County to leading The Commons Board. Sherry Stark, 75, is the former executive director for the Centra Foundation, and former executive director for the Columbus Area Arts Council. She served as president and CEO of the Heritage Fund the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, and served as senior deputy mayor and executive director of Community Development for the City of Columbus.
