Flint is receiving $125 million in private foundation support to help the city get back on its feet two years after water contamination issues surfaced.
Led by the Flint-based Charles W. Kellog Foundation will contribute $5 million in the next 12 months to support childrenas health and education.
a The Kresge Foundation is pledging as much as $2.5 million to support non-profit groups.
a New York-based Carnegie Corporation is giving $1 million to childhood education.
a The Ford Foundation has committed $1 million to Flintas health needs.
a The Hagerman Foundation will support efforts in the non-profit sector with $1 million in the first year.
a The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is pledging $1 million toward childrenas health efforts through the Community Foundation of Greater Flintas Child Health and Development Fund.
a The Ruth Mott Foundation will commit $1 million for the short and long-term needs of Flint residents, young and old.
a The Skillman Foundation will immediately provide $500,000, and possibly as much as $1.5 million in the next three years, for childhood health, nutrition and literacy.
