aThe grant is a big win for rural healthcare and the people of this community,a said Brian Hadlock, Grand Peaks Chief Executive Officer. Integrating behavioral health and physical health in a primary care setting can be cost effective and lead to improved patient outcomes.a

The grant a known as a Health Infrastructure Investment Program Award a is from the U.S. The funding will enable Grand Peaks Medical and Dental to expand facilities and incorporate behavioral health services at the St. Adding additional space to existing structures as well as building new structures are being considered to house the additional behavioral health services.
