Wells Fargo grant to Mayo theater goes to schooltime performance

MORRISTOWN a Wells Fargo has awarded a $5,000 grant to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) to support the theateras 2016-2017 Explorations Through the Arts in theater school-time performance program.

The grant of $5,000 for the 2016-2017 program will help to provide live educational performances onstage at MPAC for about 11,000 school children and their teachers during the school year.

Now for the fifth year, Wells Fargoas grant will help offset the expenses of this important program, keeping ticket prices at a minimum to school groups.

Performances offered by MPACas aExplorationsa program utilize the arts to supplement classroom learning in a variety of subjects including classic literature, math, science, history and the language arts and nurture studentsa appreciation for the performing arts at a formative age.



UK will be celebrating its first national celebration of social enterprises dubbed as Social Saturday. World famous celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, who founded the Fifteen restaurant chain.
