Amherst takes next step to sidewalk repair

Amherst City Council member Chuck Winiarski said he hopes residents air concerns over the sidewalk repair program.

“Our ordinances have not permitted a sandstone sidewalk to go in since 1946, and look at all the sandstone sidewalk we have. Winiarski asked, adding he does not have an opinion on whether the whole city or a portion should be targeted for sidewalk repairs.
