With the smaller group, Angel was allowed to slide down the zipline at least three times on Wednesday morning.

Garry Pritchett went around the circle pointing to different kids on Wednesday morning, asking what their favorite New Horizons Adventure Camp activities had been so far.

aBeating you guys at bowling,a said one of the staff members.

Under a new format, the 28 camp attendees, ages 8 to 12, were split into groups and transported to new activities that interested them over the course of four days.

As the campas new coordinator, Jennifer Smith said they created the new arrangement to expose the children to as many new experiences as possible.

aWe really wanted to give these kids opportunities they wouldnat really be able to try,a she said.

Completely free to the children, the campas participants had to be nominated by one of 15 sites in the Danville Church-Based Tutorial Program.
