The grant a known as a Health Infrastructure Investment Program Award a is from the U.S. The funding will enable Grand Peaks Medical and Dental to expand facilities and incorporate behavioral health services at the St. Adding additional space to existing structures as well as building new structures are being considered to house the additional behavioral health services.

aThis investment in structure and expanded behavioral health services will benefit Upper Valley residents and improve nearby communities for years to come,a said Becky Crapo, Grand Peaks Outreach and Enrollment Specialist.

Contrary to popular belief, Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation does not receive any of our general operating funds from the City of Reno, City of Sparks, or Washoe County. But to be clear, the Parks Foundation is a private, independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps to support parks in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County through programming focused on raising awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of our parks and open spaces.

The Parks Foundation receives the vast majority of its funding through a mixture of federal and private foundation grants, as well as through membership contributions from around 200 civic-minded community members.
