The Vermont Early Childhood Fund has announced the recipients of its first round of grants, and they're all "important and innovative," per a press release.
The grants, totaling $1.2 million, "support positive parent-child interactions and resource navigation; expanding access to pre-K and school services through transportation; supporting positive parent-child interactions and resource navigation; expanding early childhood education workforce recruitment and training; reducing waitlists for developmental and autism spectrum disorder assessments; and increasing access to mental health services, training, and coaching," per the release.
Among the projects: creating more than 200 childcare slots across multiple counties; expanding access to pre-K and school services through transportation; supporting positive parent-child interactions and resource navigation; expanding early childhood education workforce recruitment and training; reducing waitlists for developmental and autism spectrum disorder assessments; and increasing access to mental health services, training, and coaching.
