Anil Damani, a native of Pakistan who now lives in Atlanta, bought a controlling stake in the team earlier this year, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Journal-Constitution notes that Damani "has been deeply involved in educational initiatives, healthcare projects, and environmental conservation efforts."
