Soon after announcing the birth of their daughter, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan had announced that they will dedicate 99 percent of their wealth to their new Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Which is to give back to the community. It is estimated that $45 billion will be spent towards charitable causes. There is a speculation on how well could it be spent.
The couple had intended to use the money to promote equality in areas such as health, education, scientific research and energy. This type of initiative needs the same philosophy of success they have achieved with Facebook which has nearly 1.55 billion monthly active users in 2015 which is more than largest economy in the world. Zuckerberg has aimed to structure his initiative through partnership to achieve meaningful impact in the humanitarian sphere.
