Grant Purpose - This grant will enable the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire to conduct a comparative rural economy survey of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This survey will be used by Northern Initiatives, a nonprofit affiliate of ShoreBank Corporation, to aid local communities and small businesses in developing a regional strategy of marketing nature tourism opportunities.
