Public/Private Ventures Grant

Organization - Public/Private Ventures
Grant Amount - $300,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - This grant renewal allows Public/Private Ventures to continue the random assignment evaluation started in 2006 so that the city of San Antonio can discern the impact that Project QUEST is having on the earnings and employment of its citizens. Project QUEST's mission is to identify the skills required to succeed in targeted, hard-to-fill occupations and then recruit, train, and develop skills so that the workers are qualified and ready to meet employers' needs. Project QUEST is a sectoral employment program that develops a plan to allow participants to support themselves financially while attending long-term training, and offers support services and comprehensive counseling while they are in training and conducting their job search.
