Grant Purpose - This grant to Mott Community College will fund a six-week learning experience for 30 economically disadvantaged youth who are interested in entrepreneurship. The goal of the summer camp is to demonstrate the feasibility of operating an entrepreneurial education program for economically disadvantaged youth that provides them with a learning and leadership experience that will influence their future and identify their early potential to be entrepreneurs. Program participants will develop business plans and stage a showcase of business plans at the Flint Farmers' Market. The program will award entrepreneur certificates, $300 stipends, and provide access to seed capital to implement the best business concepts.
