Danville Regional Foundation

The Danville Regional Foundation was established in July 2005 to invest, manage, and distribute $200 million from the June 2005 sale of Danville Regional Medical Center to LifePoint Hospitals, Inc.

The Foundation seeks to develop, promote, and support activities, programs, and organizations that improve the health, welfare, and education of the residents of the primary service areas of the hospital: Caswell County, NC, Pittsylvania County and the City of Danville, VA.

The Foundation awards grants benefiting the Dan River Region. Similar foundations generally distribute five (5) percent of their funds annually.
