Grant Purpose - This grant will allow the Flint Downtown Development Authority to implement an expanded security program in the central business district. The security program will include increasing off-duty police patrol hours from 30 hours a week to more than 100 hours a week. Another feature of the program has been installing and operating a security camera system for the downtown area that businesses and other properties could link into with compatible equipment.
